Leksands Original Swedish Rye Crispbread Rounds
We still bake our crispbread following the original family recipe used when the bakery was first founded in the 1920s. We have retained its simplicity and original, natural ingredients – Swedish whole grain rye flour, freshwater from our own spring, yeast and a pinch of salt. Nothing more, nothing less. Our crispbread is made from 100% whole grain rye flour, using both the rye grain and husk in the baking process. The husk, the outer layer, is packed with healthy fibre, and the crispbread contains 16% fibre as well as vitamins and minerals.
One last thing, our rye has earned the Swedish quality assurance symbol – “Svenskt Sigill”. This label guarantees that the rye is produced on a Swedish farm that comply with stringent food safety and environmental responsibility standards.
