These lace-like Himmeli 3D earrings are the shortest and smallest model in Valona’s three-dimensional earring collection. However, Himmeli 3D finds depth and grandeur in its gemlike shape – though in a natural, ecological and lightweight manner synonymous to wooden jewellery. Especially these birch-coloured earrings accentuate the brilliance and lightness of natural wood.

The wooden parts of the earrings are made from fully certified and sustainably sourced Finnish birch plywood. The three-dimensional wooden part consists of two thin laser-cut pieces threaded through each other. The hooks are made of sterling silver and come with silicone plugs. It is recommended to use the plugs with these very light earrings.

The earrings are packed in a beautiful box. The pieces are delicate, so the earrings are best stored in their box or hung from a jewellery rack. They are rather moisture resistant, but do not tolerate any flattening.

The Himmeli design is by designer Elina Mäntylä. Himmeli 3D won first prize in the Folkista Poppia design competition organised by the Finnish Skills Association in 2014.
